We took a one week trip to Ireland. I considered updating my TomTom with the uk/Ireland map for $50, but chose this app for $25. The app was our primary navigation method and it got us to our destination every time. It took me a little while to figure out the user interface which is a bit clumsy as compared to the TomTom. It also took me a while to figure out that I couldnt put my iPhone 4 into airplane mode and have the GPS function, so I discovered that I could turn off the cell network by going to general settings>network. There were a few glitches where it seemed that Sygic just stopped tracking and I ended up power cycling the phone to bring it back to life. Theres also a mode where the tracking is held off until you do a "return." Aside from these issues, its a nice app and superior to the TomTom in that it fits nicely in my pocket and its so much easier to pan and zoom the map. We used it numerous times while walking through cities so we didnt get lost. I also have GPS Drive and Telenav apps, this one is superior to both of those. I am considering buying the US version of Sygic as a backup for the TomTom - just to be safe to cover for some time if it were to fail at a critical time. Oh btw- I like the voice navigation for this app much more than the TomTom. The guidance is well designed and voice quality is excellent.
